Each year in September since 20 years, the West Sussex welcomes the Goodwood Revival festival. Among the vintage cars and motorcycles, the races, the auctions, and the funfair, a crowd of enthusistics meanders and appreciates the gentle lifestyle from the driving spirit golden age. This year, we had the honor to participate to this celebration of elegance and to present our collections of gloves and shoes, to perfect the look of gentlemen drivers and their ladies.
In the unusual place of the Duke of Richmond's autodrome, near the Royal Air Force airfield, the immersion in the heart of the last century is total. This is definitely one of the most glamourous vintage car racing events in Europe, maybe in the world, as only the English can do... Several races intersperse these two days of festivities, the queen category being the one featuring the cars from the 60s with Ferrari, Jaguar AC Cobra, or even Ford Mustang. Some of these cars are sometimes driven by a former Formula 1 Champion, giving the race an even more sensational dimension.
Christophe Fenwick knows the event well: "the atmosphere is so special, only at Goodwood we can find this combination of tradition and originality. The festival-goers are all in prewar costume. The circuit is small, there is a real proximity with the drivers and accessibility of the paddocks, everyone mingles in a warm and friendly atmosphere.I even had the pleasure to sell a pair gloves to Rowan Atkinson, better known as Mister Bean! "
Our participation to the Goodwood Revival festival was a real pleasure and certainly a wonderful success. At the end the event, we received an excellent news : the Duc of Richmond and his team have spotted and invited us to the particularly selective "Goodwood Members Meetings" that will take place on April 6 and 7, 2019 !
Sharing the same values of impeccable quality and technical know-how, timeless and heritage spirit, subtle and modern luxury, the Goodwood Revival Festival will definitely be a meeting point for us. Meet you next year !
